Heavy Showers & Thunderstorms Developing Across Parts of New York & Pennsylvania

Good morning everyone. Much milder air is beginning to head into the Northeast with the help of a warm front pushing across. Ahead of it, we have some heavy showers & thunderstorms moving into western New York and skirting along the Pennsylvania border.
These will move across the region, with most of the energy moving well north of the major cities. Behind it, 70 degree temperatures reign supreme for a few days before we have a much cooler weekend. We’ll also see the chance of some scattered but much-needed rain, as that cooling process takes place on Friday ahead of our cold front.
In the Southeast, as forecasted, we are seeing the showers and thunderstorms we saw a couple of days ago, pushed back ashore with the help of high pressure. Look for clouds, showers, and maybe a few rumbles of thunder to dot the North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia coast today and possibly tomorrow. We could also see some enhanced tides and minor coastal flooding due to the constant onshore flow helping to push water into the back bays.
