County auditor says recount unlikely to change much in 1st District Congressional race

CLINTON COUNTY, Iowa (KCRG) – Democrat Christina Bohannan’s campaign says it will request a recount in the race for Iowa’s 1st Congressional District. Bohannan is challenging republican Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks. According to the Iowa Secretary of State’s website, Miller-Meeks leads Bohannan by 802 votes. Counties must file the recount report within 18 days of the canvass, which for many counties wrapped up Wednesday.
