It’s been slightly cooler and breezier Saturday than Friday, but we still have great November weather in progress. Your weather timeline in the second image below takes you into another mild day Sunday.
A cold front moving to the south Sunday and jet stream energy aloft will help to bring a few showers to southern Iowa Sunday. Amounts will be light.
The big show comes on a windy Monday, when a soaking rain moves in along with a disturbance aloft. We may hear rumbles of thunder, and the second image below from Colorado State’s severe weather algorithm will have us watching for a stronger storm or two. We’ll keep you informed.
Rain, heavy at times, will continue into Monday evening and linger in the north on Tuesday morning.
Both Monday and Tuesday will be windy days in the presence of a strong area of low pressure, as indicated in the GFS computer model’s wind gust estimations below.
