Bill would change regulations for Iowa homeschoolers

A bill eligible for debate in the House Education Committee would loosen restrictions on homeschooling and raises the state tuition and textbook tax credit. “House File 88 has been crafted to affirm and strengthen the vital role of parents in fulfilling their Biblical mandate to go and make disciples,” Jeremy Voss, lobbyist for Homeschool Iowa, said at the start of a subcommittee hearing on the bill yesterday. “This calling begins in the home with home education as its cornerstone.”…
