TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) – Rain has begun to move through NE Kansas this morning, bringing an end to the dry and very warm pattern affecting the region over the last several days. Cloudy skies and misty/foggy air is a stark change from earlier this week, but will be the pattern for the weekend ahead. From Saturday morning through at least Sunday morning, rain will be flowing into NE Kansas from the south and east. Rain will be light to moderate for the most part, but there could be some bouts of heavier rainfall/the possibility of isolated rumbles of thunder/lightning. Winds will be gusting at around 30 miles per hour out of the east, creating fairly breezy conditions alongside the rain.
