TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) – More rain is on the way for NE Kansas this evening, some of which will spill into the 4th of July. Showers and thunderstorms will move through NE Kansas for most of this evening, before on and off rain should persist into the overnight and morning hours of July 4th. Some of this rain could linger into the late morning/early afternoon hours, drying out by mid-afternoon hours. Counties further north and west/along the Nebraska border are more likely to see this lingering rain, but we could see wet weather anywhere for that timeframe. We might have to start the swimming and BBQs a little bit later than usual this year!
