Kansas Bureau of Air director says fireworks have limited impacts on long-term air quality

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) – The Kansas Bureau of Air director said fireworks can have limited impacts on air quality locally. The State’s Bureau of Air Director Rick Brunetti told 13 NEWS “fireworks will impact air quality very locally.” He further explains the materials used in fireworks tend to dissipate quickly and thus have limited impacts on the long-term air quality.
