Foster care system falling short in Kansas, assessment finds

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – There’s still a long way to go to address the needs of children in Kansas’ foster care system. That’s the latest assessment from a third party monitoring the state’s effort to meet the commitments made in a 2020 class action settlement. The latest report found that in some areas, Kansas got worse.
