FBI investigating racist texts sent to students in Kansas, other states

The FBI is investigating racist text messages that have been sent to Black men, women and students across the country, including students at Derby High School in Kansas. The messages were sent anonymously and they have been reported in Ohio, Tennessee, Alabama, Pennsylvania and New York. Derby school officials said the message was circulated in schools, and it responded with a statement: “Targeted hateful and racist messages have no place in our community and especially not in our schools. Derby Public Schools does not tolerate harassment, discrimination or racism.”
