After snowfall, extreme cold could play havoc with water pipes

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) – Much of the talk the past few days has centered on the high snowfall totals in the Topeka area and across much of Kansas. But with temperatures expected to dip below zero once again by early Wednesday in many locations in the Sunflower State, attention now has turned to keeping water pipes from freezing and thereby avoiding costly repairs that could result.
