A Canadian clipper, aka “Manitoba mauler,” will drop down into southern Appalachia this evening providing a widespread chance for rain, mixed with wet snow for elevations over 3000 to 4000 ft. Much of the lower elevations will stay a cold rain, while higher elevations could see a range from 1 to 4 inches.
