Kentuckians take on the red carpet for 66th GRAMMY awards: Who brought one back to the Bluegrass

KENTUCKY ( FOX 56 ) — The Bluegrass was represented at the 66th annual Grammy Awards.

Lexington native country music artist Chris Stapleton brought home his ninth and tenth Grammy awards for the Best Country Song and Best Solo Performance with “White Horse.” Stapleton ran against Lawrence County native Tyler Childers, whose “In Your Love” was nominated for both categories as well as Best Music Video.

Stapleton was also nominated for Best Country Duo/Group Performance with “We Don’t Fight Anymore.” However, the award went home with Zach Bryan and Kacey Musgraves for their performance of “I Remember Everything.”

Louisville native Teddy Abrams, alongside Yuha Wang, were awarded their first Grammy award for Best Classical Instrumental Solo for “The American Project.”

The 2024 class of nominees included a variety of Kentuckians, including Kentucky Poet Laureate Silas House of Corbin and songwriter and Irvine native Geno Seale, who both worked alongside Childers on “In Your Love.”
