Good news for Kentuckians planning last-minute summer road trips: gas prices are continuing to decline in the commonwealth. The average price per gallon for the week of Aug. 12, 2024, is $3.13. That’s a five-cent decline from the week of Aug. 5, 2024 ($3.18), an 11-cent decline from the week of July 29, 2024 ($3.24) and 37 cents lower compared to this time last year, when the average price per gallon was $3.50 for the week of Aug. 14, 2023.
