LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT)-Low-head dams are structures designed to control the water on rivers and streams. However, these dams kill hundreds of people in the U.S. each year. With Labor Day weekend approaching, many people may be making plans to go out on the water, so WKYT is taking a look at some of the safety concerns these low-head dams pose in the Bluegrass.
