KSP to conduct traffic safety checkpoints

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT)- Kentucky State Police will be conducting traffic safety checkpoints throughout the Post 2 District today. Nearly thirty checkpoints are scheduled throughout the area, including in Hopkins, Muhlenberg and Webster Counties.

The safety checkpoints are meant to provide a high visibility, public safety service and allow Kentucky State Police to concentrate efforts in keeping citizens of the Commonwealth safe. Drivers who encounter a traffic safety checkpoint are requested to have their operator’s license, vehicle registration receipt, and proof of insurance. Driver’s can expect to be delayed for a brief time period while encountering the checkpoints.
