A cold front will push through from NW to SE today and introduce a real taste of fall for the weekend. With limited moisture and instability, rain chances with the front remain very low. The best will be during the afternoon hours in the Bootheel, TN and KY where the front will meet up with prime afternoon heating, but even there only isolated thunderstorms are likely. Behind the front northerly breezes will begin to blow in drier air; this evening will be noticeably cooler and less humid.
