LOGAN COUNTY, W.Va. (WCHS) – A Kentucky man died while working at a coal mine in Logan County Friday evening, state officials said. Gary Chapman, 33, of South Williamson sustained fatal injuries while working at the Mountaineer II Mine near Shaples, marking the fourth miner to die in 2024, according to a statement from the Office of the Governor.
