KENTUCKY (WCHS) – Kentucky Power urges residents to prepare for possible outages as Hurricane Helene is expected to bring high wind advisories and storms on Friday. The aftermath of the hurricane could bring 40-50 mile per hour wind gusts and heavy rainfall to a large portion of the state, including the southeastern region, with potential for tornadoes also possible, according to a news release.
