I am writing this on election night after working the polls from 5:15 this morning. We had serious problems with our e-poll books, resulting in very long waits for voters to cast their ballots. I worked at Christ Church United Methodist Church, as I have for 20-plus years. I was so impressed with the voters’ behavior, even as some waited close to two hours to vote. They were all respectful…patient…kind…some left and returned later when problems were resolved.
It gives me hope that we can come together as a nation after so many years of anger and vitriol. I have faith in the American public. Sad that Kentucky‘s electoral votes will go to a candidate who has pushed conspiracy theories …caused chaos and division…but I saw another Kentucky today. We can be better! Thank you to the voters and workers at my polling location! You made me proud to be a Louisvillian!
