LAGRANGE, Ky. ( FOX 56 ) — A La Grange woman won big with a small $5 investment and a lot of luck.

The Kentucky Lottery said Rose Richie stopped at Fast Lane Liquor in La Grange on Oct. 30 and decided to pick up a $5 Mood Money Scratch-off . After scratching all 15 spots on the ticket, she discovered she had won the game’s $60,000 top prize.
“I kept going and saw another $4,000 and another $4,000,” Richie said. “When I saw the whole board, I knew I hit the $60,000.”
Richie called her husband to share the big news.
“I said, ‘No way babe, I won $60,000!’”
“I was having an anxiety attack,” she told election officials. “I told him, “Honey, please come home; I’m nervous. I’m making sure my eyes are seeing right.”
Ritchie said her husband was calm, cool, and collected and reassured her he would be home from work soon.
