Shaping up to be a cool, rainy day (and evening) as an approaching cold front draws moisture in from the south. Rainfall will be widespread, with the heaviest amounts in eastern counties (SE Illinois, W Kentucky and NW Tennessee) but the entire area will be wet. A few thundershowers are possible too but severe storms are not expected. Highs will struggle to reach 60° this afternoon. Showers will taper off from west to east by about midnight, and Thursday should be dry but breezy and cool with lingering clouds.
