KFC is giving its tenders and some new beverages a place to shine in a new restaurant concept, Saucy .
The first location opens next week in Florida.
The restaurant will feature customizable tenders and an expanded sauce and beverage selection. New desserts include chocolate mousse and key lime cakes.
Stylized with a pink color scheme and modern feel, Saucy will employ some of the latest in industry tech to create a smooth, streamlined experience, USA TODAY reported .
The initial location will be equipped with drive-thru lanes, kiosks and back-of-house tech that will employ real-world data to reduce wait times and keep food stocked and fresh. KFC also plans to schedule programming at its inaugural location, like live entertainment, to encourage patrons to stick around longer.
A website, saucy.kfc.com , and app have already been launched with a 20-point personalization interface, meaning KFC superfans can prep in advance of the grand opening.
