SLIDELL, La. (WVUE) – Gas pumps at Circle K on Voters Road in Slidell are wrapped up and out of service after a state inspector found water contaminated a fuel tank and several fuel pumps.
On Monday, an inspector with the Louisiana Agriculture Department went to the station and tested Tank 4, an underground fuel storage tank on the property. The report says the inspector found two inches of water inside the tank, which primarily supplies fuel to pumps 3, 4, 7, 8, 11, 12, 15 and 16.
All eight pumps were “red tagged”, meaning the inspector put a lock on them until the gas station can make necessary repairs to the fuel system and it gets a positive fuel test from the Motor Fuel Lab in Baton Rouge…
