NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – After a Friday cold front moved through southeast Louisiana and southern Mississippi, a much cooler and drier air mass is settling in. Expect a comfortable weekend with lower humidity, plenty of clouds at times on Sunday and a noticeable drop in temperatures.
Sunday will bring the coolest temperatures of the season so far. Afternoon highs will struggle to reach the upper 60s under mostly cloudy skies. Breezy conditions may also make it feel a little cooler at times.
The pleasant, dry weather pattern will continue into early next week. Afternoon highs will range from the low to middle 70s. Rain chances will remain near zero for most of the area, and low humidity will stick around. The continued dry conditions are also a concern for fire danger, with burn bans remaining in place. Use caution with outdoor burning and follow local restrictions.
Looking ahead, another strong cold front is expected to move through by the end of the week…
