Can any medical doctor prescribe medicinal cannabis in Louisiana?

No, not just any medical doctor has the ability to prescribe medicinal cannabis to patients in the state of Louisiana. Only medicinal cannabis doctors that are enrolled with the Louisiana Department of Health and hold an active, unrestricted medical licensure are eligible by the state’s medicinal cannabis program to recommend patients for medicinal cannabis in LA.

Patients are required to consult with the medicinal doctor to enroll.
