Cassidy announces $27.2M for Louisiana Seafood Industry

U.S. Sen. Bill Cassidy, R-LA., today announced the U.S. Department of Commerce will allocate $27,152,411.00 appropriated by Congress for fishery disasters to support Louisiana fisheries, seafood industries, and fishing communities affected by disasters between 2017 and 2022.

“From natural disasters, flooding, and even the pandemic, Louisiana fisheries have been hit from all sides over the past few years,” Cassidy said. “We worked hard to secure this money for an industry so many Louisiana families rely on, and I am glad to see these dollars put into action.”
