Bruce: We stay dry through Friday night parades. Saturday rain is likely as many parades are set to roll

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – We will continue see a very pleasant week ahead as high pressure will leave us with sunny skies and comfortable temps. A lack of moisture means a front that pushes past during the day on Wednesday still leaves us dry with just a few clouds around. before rain chances arrive on Saturday, Friday night parades look dry. That all changes heading into Saturday, as a strong low pressure system develops to our west and moves across our area during the day on Saturday. Winds will become more southerly and southwesterly ahead of the system bringing in plenty of moisture the approaching low also provides plenty of uplift. The Weather Prediction Center is already highlighting Saturday as a level 2 of 4 risk for excessive rainfall across southeast Louisiana and the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
