Louisiana Second Circuit Court of Appeal denies Kory York’s appeal in the case of Ronald Greene

UNION PARISH, La. (KTVE/KARD) — In December of 2022, Kory York, a former Louisiana State Police Trooper, was charged with one count of Negligent Homicide and 10 counts of Malfeasance in Office in connection to the death of Ronald Greene.

According to court documents that were filed on January 31, 2024, Kory York’s appeal seeking a review of the denial of his motion to quash was denied by the Louisiana Second Circuit Court of Appeal.

Attorney Michael Small had previously requested the indictments against York in the case of Ronald Greene’s death be dropped, believing York’s right against self-incrimination was violated.

York’s arraignment is scheduled for February 22, 2024 in District Court in Farmerville. According to reports, York’s attorney attorney claims that his defendant will plead not guilty to each count in the indictment.
