BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – Days after expressing support for sending troops to the U.S.-Mexico border, Gov. Jeff Landry is moving forward with deployment plans. According to the governor’s office, Landry will discuss plans for a trip to the southern border and deploying the National Guard during a news conference at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 8.
