LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) – Warmer and humid weather will continue to move into SWLA with rain staying in the forecast each day through the weekend. A series of upper level disturbances will continue to cross Southwest Louisiana Friday and continuing through early Monday. For Friday, this means we could see some isolated showers throughout the day, though rain does not look likely for the entire day. Still, we may see a few showers in the afternoon and early evening and perhaps for the start of the Merchants Parade Friday evening. Still, models continue lean towards activity staying spotty overall Friday. A few more showers may take place later in the day Saturday, though we’re still not expecting a washout scenario.
