LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) – The humidity is still creeping higher in SWLA with disturbances keeping rain chances elevated through the weekend. Another damp start to the day is in order as a series of upper level disturbances continue to cross Southwest Louisiana Friday and continuing through early Monday. For Friday, this means we could see some isolated showers throughout the day, though rain does not look likely for the entire day. Better rain chances for the first half of the day look a little more likely in northwestern areas. Remember you can always check the radar for active showers using the First Alert Weather app: www.kplctv.com/apps.
