DERIDDER, La. (KPLC) – The number of crib-related deaths is climbing in Southwest Louisiana. 1 in 5 babies experience 3 or more risk factors for sleep-related death, according to the Louisiana Pregnancy Risk Assessment Monitoring System data. There have been approximately 10 deaths in Southwest Louisiana due to safe crib sleeping, and 100 across the state.
