Thunderstorms With Damaging Winds Possible Across Parts of Michigan, New York, and Pennsylvania

Good morning everyone. We’re waking up to all of the pieces of the puzzle starting to come together for an active several days across the Guld Coast, as well as a strong cold front that’ll protect the Northeast from future tropical activity.
Heavy tropical showers and thunderstorms continue to build in the western Gulf, sending heavy rain, gusty winds, and rumbles of thunder into the southernmost area of Texas. We’re also seeing heavy thunderstorms grazing the Bayou/Delta areas of Louisiana. Some of this acitivty could be on the strong to severe side, with locally strong winds, torrential rain, and the risk of a few waterspouts offshore.
Florida begins to become our main focus of the forecast as heavy showers and thunderstorms build and become more numerous across the central and southern parts of the state. We’re already seeing thunderstorms building in areas such as Delray Beach, Boca Raton, Ft. Lauderdale, and Miami, and we will watch this activity grow over the next 24-48hrs. Here too, we can see strong to severe thunderstorms.
