Louisiana nursing home owner to pay $8.2 million to resolve embezzlement case

NEW ORLEANS – Bob Dean Jr. and several of the companies that he owned and operated will pay $8.2 million dollars to resolve a federal embezzlement case. The U.S. Department of Justice alleged that Dean misappropriated and misused the assets and income of four Louisiana Nursing homes he owned and operated in Houma, Harvey and New Orleans before and after Hurricane Ida’s landfall in 2021.
