Dirt Cheap closing all stores: here’s what we know

Dirt Cheap locations in Louisiana include stores in Bossier City, Lafayette, Monroe, Houma, Hammond, Slidell, Amite, Franklinton and Bogalusa.

Since all Dirt Cheap locations will be closing, the company will soon have going-out-of-business sales. These sales are expected to be completed by the end of the year.

The holding company behind Dirt Cheap’s parent company, HDC Holdings II, also has stakes in Dirt Cheap’s sister outlets, Dirt Cheap Building Supplies and Treasure Hunt, as well as other companies.

The businesses’ stores are known for buying and reselling products from retailers and manufacturers that are from over-stocks, closeouts, bankruptcies, liquidations and returns. These products are then marketed and sold in Dirt Cheap stores at steeply discounted prices.
