Man arrested in Louisiana after internet crimes against children investigation

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — An investigation by the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office led to the arrest of a man.

Marcus Davis, 33, was arrested and charged with indecent behavior with juveniles and computer-aided solicitation of a minor.

In October, detectives with LPSO’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force along with the Louisiana Bureau of Investigations/Attorney General’s Office “were able to proactively begin an investigation into an individual on various social media platforms,” according to LPSO.

As the investigation unfolded, LPSO identified Davis as a suspect in this case. They said he was taken into custody.

“The Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office ICAC Task Force is constantly combating internet dangers awaiting the children of Livingston Parish and of the state of Louisiana. The ICAC Task Force works tirelessly to protect our children,” said LPSO in a Facebook post .
