Let’s put hard news in the backseat today to reflect on what makes Louisiana such a special place.
For the Illuminator , there’s so much to be thankful for this holiday – and every day.
1. The many advocates and activists who speak out on behalf of those who are marginalized in Louisiana, including many of you who are among those impacted. Also, we appreciate those in power who take the time to hear their concerns.
2. More days of early voting . Secretary of State Nancy Landry saw the need to add two more days to the Nov. 5 election cycle. We’re hopeful election officials statewide will continue to make voting more accessible to the public.
3. Good food in New Orleans and beyond. Even if palate-challenged Travis Kelce doesn’t partake, we know Louisiana takes the culinary championship no matter what corner of the state is serving up the goods. Here’s hoping there’s plenty on your table today.
