A couple more cold mornings, then rain for Thursday

After some morning frost north of the lake today, the region is headed for highs in the low 60s.

“Anticipate a gorgeous forecast for Monday and much of this week across Southeast Louisiana,” WWL TV Meteorologist Brook Laizer said. “Mornings and evenings will stay cold through early Wednesday as low temperatures remain in the 30s north but 40s south.”

She says frost and a light freeze remain possible north of the lake through mid-week.

“A somewhat unsettled pattern will return later in the week as this increasing moisture and nearby disturbances work together to provide additional rain chances on Thursday.”

Laizer says some showers will linger into Friday.
