(KALB) – New funding for both Fort Johnson and our nation’s soldiers was announced on Thursday by Louisiana Senator Bill Cassidy. In total, Cassidy’s office said the military base will receive approximately $50 million in federal funding for the construction of a new “rotational unit billeting area.” That is essentially a new housing area for soldiers to stay in as they undergo training at the base.
