NEW YORK CITY (WBFF) – Maryland’s head of juvenile corrections is embroiled in an ongoing legal battle in New York, according to court records. Filed by a prior detainee at New York City’s Rikers Island corrections facilities, Maryland’s Department of Juvenile Services Secretary Vincent Schiraldi is accused of “failure[ing] to adequately monitor and supervise inmates.”
