Maryland’s Eastern Shore Under Coastal Flood Advisory Through Wednesday Evening

Residents of Dorchester, Wicomico, and Somerset counties are urged to prepare for minor to moderate flooding through Wednesday, as a Coastal Flood Advisory remains in effect until 8 PM EDT. According to the National Weather Service, areas near shorelines and tidal waterways could see inundation levels of up to one foot above ground, with localized areas potentially experiencing up to two feet of flooding.

The advisory warns that low-lying areas, such as parking lots, parks, and some roads near the waterfront, are particularly vulnerable. Cambridge, Crisfield, and Bishops Head are expected to face minor flooding during high tide.
