BALTIMORE (WBFF) – How many young people are on Department of Juvenile Services supervision? It turns out, there are more than maybe you thought – or have been told. Currently, ankle monitors are used by DJS in a variety of ways. Someone’s kid gets an ankle monitor before adjudication, sometimes it’s after. But there’s a difference between community detention electronic monitoring and GPS monitoring and until Thursday, the difference in data point hasn’t been provided by DJS.
