WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — A Maryland organization is making sure that everyone exercises their right to vote in this upcoming election.
Life After Release, a woman-led re-entry organization, said voting is a vital tool for making sure one’s voice is heard. It added that everyone should have the opportunity to do so, whether they have transportation or not.
2024 Voting Guide: DC, Virginia, Maryland
The organization is offering free rides on Nov. 5 to polling locations across D.C., Maryland and Virginia as well as surrounding areas including Prince George’s County, Howard County and Baltimore County.
Residents in the DMV and nearby areas interested in getting a ride can call 240-200-4472.
Residents in Baltimore and surrounding areas can call 443-462-9271.
Rides will be available until polls close.
