First Watch celebrates World Kindness Day with sweet gesture, gives away 15k cinnamon rolls

WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — One restaurant known for its made-to-order breakfast and brunch is hoping to inspire people with a sweet offer.

Wednesday, Nov. 13, is World Kindness Day, and people are encouraged to fill their day with acts of kindness and goodwill. To take on the challenge, First Watch announced that it is spreading the joy this year and giving away 15,000 cinnamon rolls for customers to “pay forward” as a random act of kindness.

“World Kindness Day is a reminder of the impact even the smallest gestures can have,” said Matt Eisenacher, Chief Brand Officer. “From holding the door open … to welcoming tables with a warm pot of coffee, our employees take pride in making our customers smile. Our core value is to ‘Be Kind,’ and we hope this day will inspire thousands of acts of kindness nationwide.”
