My friends, winter is BACK! Temps are hanging out in the teens and 20s today at resorts in our region and you know what that means…snowmaking!!! Most of the mountains have already fired up their snowguns, and the ones that haven’t yet are promising to do so by the end of the week (or sooner)! The snowmaking is so intense right now that it’s hard to even get a clear webcam shot. Several webcams are “iced over” from all the snowmaking activity. One of the most striking images we have is our featured photo from Beech. Yes, those are clouds up high, but that massive, snow-covered cloud blanketing the mountain is actually all snowmaking! They’re working overtime, and this is the trend across most of our mountains.
