Six states across the US recorded a sharp rise in Covid-19 cases . Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts , Connecticut and New York saw an increase in coronavirus cases at a faster rate than the national trend, according to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
The data, published on January 20, said five of the states experienced a 15 per cent rise in infections over the past two weeks. New York recorded a 15.4 per cent increase in the same period of time.
Infections increased by 12.5 per cent across America over the past two weeks.
