(MA) Meet Brooks, the loving and handsome Black Lab mix pup who is looking to start the next chapter of his life. Despite being an owned dog for most of his life, his living situation was not the best. His lucky day came when he ended up in rescue. Now, thanks to Great Dog Rescue New England, he will shortly be heading to Massachusetts in search of a new and loving family.
What Was Brooks’ Living Situation?
According to Great Dog Rescue New England, as a six-week-old puppy Brooks was given away at a Walmart. The people who took him in forced him to live life on a chain. They also did not do proper vetting for Brooks, which resulted in him getting heartworms.
Thankfully, after coming into rescue Brooks was treated for his heartworms and is now completely cured. He requires no additional related care, other than the monthly heartworm preventative medicine all dogs should take.

Brooks is a 6-year-old Black Labrador Retriever mix pup who weighs approximately 70 pounds. He has a short coat length which is black, white, and cream in color. Brooks is neutered and fully up to date on his vaccinations.
