Heat Advisory: Temperatures to feel around 100 degrees in western Massachusetts

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – A Heat Advisory is in effect for central and eastern Hampden County and southern Berkshire County until 7 PM Saturday for heat index values around 100 degrees.

Saturday’s 7 AM temperatures will be in the 60s and 70s. Some sun will appear through the clouds by mid-morning. The morning will be generally rain-free. There is a trend in some of our forecast guidance for Saturday afternoon to be mostly dry. However, we are keeping the chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms in the forecast for Saturday afternoon. Saturday’s high temperatures will be in the mid-80s to 90 degrees.

Showers are likely on Saturday evening. Temperatures will be in the low 80s and 70s on Saturday evening.

Yet another round of showers is likely on Sunday, especially in the afternoon.
