DORCHESTER, Mass. (WWLP) – The Mega Millions jackpot has reached an estimated $681 million for Tuesday’s drawing.

$1 million lottery prize claimed by two South Shore residents

No one has hit the Mega Millions jackpot since June 4, and if hit, the jackpot would be the seventh largest jackpot won in the history of the game. There have been 26 drawings since the last jackpot was won at $552 million.

According to the Massachusetts Lottery, this is the game’s largest jackpot since March 26, when a $1.128 billion jackpot was won on a ticket that was sold in New Jersey.

Mega Millions drawings are held every Tuesday and Friday at 11 p.m. Tickets are $2 each and can be played in 45 states, Washington D.C. and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Tickets for Tuesday’s drawing can be purchased until 10:45 p.m. Tuesday.
