Newly Minted Millionaire: Attleboro Man Will Improve Daughter’s Life With Winnings

An Attleboro man said he will use the $1 million jackpot he won in the Massachusetts State Lottery to pay for his daughter’s college tuition.

Sivanthoeun Sar won the seven-figure check by playing the $10 scratch-off game “ $4,000,000 Monopoly Doubler . ” Four $1 million prizes and two $4 million grand prizes remain in circulation in the game.

Sar chose to take the lump sum payment of $650,000 (before taxes) rather than the annuity.

He bought his ticket at Mutual Mart at 19 Pleasant St. in Attleboro. The store will get a $10,000 bonus for the sale.
